Curiosity #22: Kumasi Graveyard

Hundreds of stone monuments covered an elevated mound of grass. The graves were long and tall, and were elevated at one end like the heads of beach chairs. On several stones, homeless men lounged in ragged clothing: either commemorating their ancestors or – like the bodies beneath them – seeking casual respite from the tiresome African heat.
